Wills
There
is an old saying "Where there is a Will, there is a relative" but
where there is no Will there are a lot more relatives. Many people unfortunately
do not make a Will which in some circumstances may lead to disputes and also
increased financial burdens in the form of taxation after a person's death
and may lead to the sale of a property, which may not have been the deceased
persons wishes.
Making a Will is a simple
procedure which can prevent many problems arising and ensure that your estate
is administered in accordance with your wishes and if you have any young children
that they are cared for by people chosen by you. It is generally inexpensive
and normally requires one consultation to enable us to advise you on the drafting
of a Will, on any potential tax liabilities and thereafter we draft the Will
for you and at our second consultation it is approved and signed. We can then
store your Will for you in our safe free of charge. It is also recommended
by us that your Will should be reviewed at least every five years and if it
has not been reviewed recently then you should arrange a consultation with
us where we can advise you on any tax changes that may have effected the provisions
of your Will and how best to minimize any potential tax liability. Of course
your wishes may have changed in the interim.
Our services are as follows:
• Advises on the appointment of an Executor and or Testamentary Guardian
to look after your estate and children following your death.
• Assists and specifies what should be included in your Will.
• Provides you with a fully comprehensive Will, which can be updated
as often as you so wish.
• Advises on whether there is a potential liability to taxation.
• Advises on how you can minimise any liability to The Revenue Commissioners
through Insurance Schemes and other Schemes.
• It ensures that your possessions are distributed in accordance with
your wishes, thereby removing any confusion or conflict between
family and friends. BACK
